Oban Airport Fire and Rescue Service were surprised and elated to have been nominated in the recent Argyll and Bute Council Employee Excellence and Recognition Awards.
At the ceremony we were delighted to collect the gold award for ‘Team of the Year’ in a well contested category.
We were then further honoured to receive the overall ‘Chief Executive’s Award’
The Chief Executive, Clelland Sneddon, commented ‘this year I selected the successful winners of the Team of the Year Category because for me, this team consistently makes Argyll and Bute a place people choose to live, learn, work and do business. ‘
‘Their day job is technically complex and dangerous yet they continue to have a growing reputation as a friendly and approachable bunch with a flair for innovation and are real ambassadors for the Oban and the Isles Airport – now a fantastic and growing brand!
